At some point in our lives, we have all felt like it hasn’t been our day, our week, or even our year. It is in time like these when we need something that pushes us forward, makes us motivated to keep going.
Brands and markets know this and at times, they create masterpieces that resonate with their audience and beyond. These ads are remembered and praised for a long time. Today, we are here to talk about three such ads.
Let’s get to it!
The "Here's to the Crazy Ones" ad wasn't just an ad; it was Apple's lifeline.
In the late '90s, Apple was on the brink of bankruptcy, losing its edge in a market it once dominated.
Enter the Think Different campaign, with its iconic tribute to the rebels, the misfits, and the visionaries—the very essence of Apple's DNA. This bold move reignited the brand's identity, resonating with consumers who saw Apple not just as a company but as a movement.
It was a daring reminder that innovation comes from those who dare to think differently. The ad didn't just sell products; it sold a mindset. And that mindset pulled Apple back from the edge, setting the stage for its future as a tech giant.
Also, did you recognise the voice? Yup, that’s Steve Jobs himself!
Throughout our life we have been told “you can’t”. Maybe you have said it to yourself. But is it the right thing to do?
Mahindra does not think so
The video powerfully illustrates how this single word, often seen as a barrier, can actually become a catalyst for achieving the impossible.
Through their “Rise” campaign Mahindra made "can't" as the spark that drives them to innovate, persevere, and ultimately succeed.
Mahindra's "Rise" philosophy is all about empowerment and rising above challenges. It serves as a reminder that true progress comes from defying the odds and pushing beyond what others say is impossible. In essence, "can't" isn't a roadblock; it's the beginning of something extraordinary.
Impossible is nothing. That’s what Adidas believe.
This campaign is a masterclass in motivational storytelling and branding. Launched in 2004, this campaign transformed Adidas from just another sportswear company into a global symbol of perseverance and human potential. The core message is simple yet profound: no challenge is insurmountable, no dream too big, and no obstacle too great.
This ongoing campaign features iconic athletes like Muhammad Ali, David Beckham, Lionel Messi, who shared personal stories of triumph over adversity, turning their struggles into sources of strength.
The visuals and narratives were powerful, capturing raw emotion and authenticity that resonated with people far beyond the world of sports. This wasn't just about selling shoes or apparel; it was about inspiring people to push their limits, to challenge the status quo, and to believe that "impossible" is just a word. The campaign became a cultural phenomenon, with the slogan "Impossible is Nothing" being quoted and embraced by millions around the world.
These are more than just campaigns or marketing, these ads didn't just elevate the brand - these created a mindset. These gave out a message.
These examples remind us of the importance of aligning brand values with meaningful, impactful messaging. So no matter, if you are a brand, marketer or just an individual - keep your message right.
We also hope these examples filled you with the spirit to keep going no matter the challenges.
