Have you ever watched an ad that sticks with you? And years later, it pops back into your head, and you feel that nostalgic, cathartic wave.

Today, we are looking at just that. Ads that evoke a sense of catharsis.

Let’s get into it!

FEEL LIKE GOD

There probably wouldn’t be a better feeling than feeling like God, would there?

But how exactly do you feel like God? Bajaj seems to know the answer.

When Bajaj Avenger was launched, it needed an ad that spoke to its target audience. And spoke to its target audience it did. It became one of India’s most successful motorcycles and to this day is a popular choice for bike enthusiasts who want to feel like God.

DAAG ACCHE HAI

As a kid, there’s probably no better feeling than just playing your heart out and not giving a care about the world.

And in the process of playing your heart out, your clothes take the brunt of it, and your mom is the one with the headache of getting these stains out. In 2005, Surf Excel understood this and created an ad that we quote to this day.

This iconic campaign positioned stains as a mark of positive experiences and learning, shifting the narrative from simply cleaning clothes to embracing life’s messes.

The ad was pivotal in reshaping how detergent brands communicated with consumers, turning the concept of stains into something beneficial rather than something to avoid.

KUCH MEETHA HO JAYE

The iconic "Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye" campaign by Cadbury Dairy Milk was launched in 2004. This campaign marked a significant shift in Cadbury's advertising approach, moving beyond its traditional focus on children to position Dairy Milk as a treat for adults as well.

The ad portrayed Dairy Milk as the perfect sweet treat for moments of celebration and everyday joy in Indian households.

The campaign, featuring Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, became a massive success, reinforcing Cadbury Dairy Milk's place in Indian culture as synonymous with celebrations and happiness.

And “Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye” line goes on strong till this date
